Naomi
Your advice is spot on. One more tip I would add is this: don't take on the entire task at once. To get started, agree that you will work on the new project/business for just one minute a day in the first month (January), the two minutes in the 2d month (Feb.). Now of course, someone really enthused will stay at the task more than a minute or two but setting ridiculously small goals to meet, you gain the encouragement to build up the time and habit to do the task on a grander scale.

Yea, it's always a tendancy to procrastinate when you hit something hard-going. Just gotta tell youself it's now or later, and better now. If the rains didn't try, rocks would never be weathered to pebbles.

Definitely, Michael. Sometimes you gotta take the plunge and "just do it", and improve along the way. Important thing is to actually get started.

Excellent points. I especially like the SWOT. I have kind of done that, but not in a serious way. Also the last point is well taken - Start sooner than later. That really seems to be my problem. I procrastinate, over analyze, and do everything other than actually getting started.
Thanks for the wisdom!
